GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A 53-year-old Grand Rapids woman has died after being struck by three vehicles while attempting to cross 28th Street Thursday night.
The crash happened at roughly 9:10 p.m. near the Kalamazoo Avenue intersection. Police say Marcia Dean was attempting to get form Meijer to Walgreens when she was struck by one vehicle, thrown into the side of a second vehicle and then run over by a third vehicle.
Police say all three collisions happened in the westbound lanes of 28th Street.
Dean was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital and died at 7:55 a.m. Friday.
The drivers involved were not injured. Police say at this point in the investigation neither speed nor alcohol appear to be a factor.
