GRAND RAPIDS – One of West Michigan’s Most Wanted was taken into custody on Monday in Grand Rapids despite the suspect’s attempt to avoid arrest by jumping from the roof of a home.
Authorities with the U.S. Marshals Western Michigan Fugitive Task Force say a viewer tip led officers to a home in the 1000 block of Quarry Avenue.
Officers witnessed 30-year-old Marcus Gray exit the home out of a second story window. He surrendered shortly after jumping to the ground from the roof of the home.
Gray was featured on West Michigan’s Most Wanted in June. He’s now lodged in the Kent County Jail on numerous warrants, including offenses for possession of cocaine and marijuana out of Grand Rapids from February 2015.
Gray is considered an habitual offender after serving time for prior drug convictions.
