EAST GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A map of the nation’s most educated cities shows East Grand Rapids is Michigan’s most educated town. Using data from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey, Business Insider determined that 77.5 percent of adults over 25 in East Grand Rapids have at least a bachelor’s degree, the highest rate in the state.
The survey looked at communities with more than 1,000 people using census figures from 2008 to 2012.
Chevy Chase, Maryland, gets top honors as most educated, with 92.7 percent of adults over 25 with at least a bachelor’s degree.
