JAMESTOWN TWP, Mich. — Ottawa County Sheriffs say that four were injured when the driver of a minivan heading westbound down Riley Street in Jamestown Township lost control of his car and hit several trees.
The driver – 18 year-old Zachary Jansheski of Hudsonville – lost control of the 1998 Chrysler Caravan and drove off the side of the road. It is not known at this time what caused him to lose control. He was seriously injured and taken to St. Mary’s Hospital by ambulance.
Sitting in the backseat, 18 year-old Zachary Shannon of Hudsonville was critically injured. Sheriffs say that he was unbelted and hit the windshield. He was taken by Aero Med helicopter to Spectrum Health Butterworth.
Also in the minivan were 17 year-old female and 22 year-old Marta Kuiper from Grand Rapids. They were both seriously injured and taken to Spectrum Health Butterworth by ambulance.
Sheriffs will be conducting interviews at the hospitals to continue their investigation.
