WYOMING, Mich. — The man accused of robbing a Wyoming Check ‘N Go store at gunpoint has been arrested in Tennessee.
U.S. Marshals say Montai Riley was located at a hotel in Memphis and arrested on June 26. handgun was recovered during the arrest. He is currently behind bars and will be extradited to Michigan after officials determine if he is facing any charges in Tennessee.
Riley allegedly robbed the 28th Street SW Check ‘N Go on June 22 and may also face charges for a robbery at the same store that happened in April. A handgun was recovered during his arrest, officials said.
According to a release from U.S. Marshals, Riley is facing an armed robbery charge in connection with the June incident. He is being charged as a third-time habitual offender.
No one was injured in the incidents.
A second person involved in the robberies is expected to turn themselves in this week, Marshals said in a release.
