IONIA, Mich. – A head on accident occurred Sunday morning involving a semi-tractor trailer and a car.
At approximately 10:53 a.m. this morning, the Ionia Department of Public Safety responded to a personal injury accident on N State Rd (M-66) north of Apple Tree Drive.
A semi-truck was heading northbound when it was struck by a southbound vehicle causing extensive damage.
The Ionia Department of Public Safety’s Facebook post said that the drivers both sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The roadway was closed during the incident but has reopened.
