HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Everyone was able to make it out safely from a fire in Holland Township early Wednesday morning.

The call came in at around 2:15 a.m. for a possible house fire at 44 Vanderveen Avenue.  When crews arrived, they saw smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home.  They determined everyone had safely evacuated the structure, including a couple of pet cats.

Firefighters had the bulk of the flames under control within 45 minutes.  It is unclear just how much damage was done.  There is no word yet on a cause.
