MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. — A high-speed pursuit with a motorcycle that went through two West Michigan counties ended with the death of the speeding biker.
It started shortly before midnight in Muskegon County, when Michigan State Police Troopers attempted to stop a Yamaha motorcycle for a traffic violation. The rider refused to stop, and took off at a high rate of speed. The suspect headed south into Ottawa County. Police say he failed to negotiate a curve, lost control, and crashed. He was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say the suspect was wearing a helmet.
