A weak but persistently rotating storm caused numerous reports of funnel clouds this afternoon. Thunderstorms developed late this morning over parts of Indiana and Illinois and tracked northeast into southwest lower Michigan. No severe weather was reported, but one cell intensified and started to rotate as it moved through parts of Montcalm and Isabella counties.

No severe weather was reported from this storm, although another complex of thunderstorms did produce minor damage in Newaygo.
