VILLAGE OF NEW HAVEN, Mich. — Deputies with The Macomb County Sheriff’s Department  are investigating an incident Saturday night where a suspect allegedly fired several shots into an occupied home.

Deputies say there was one man at the residence in the 59000 block of W. Brockton at the time of the shooting, reportedly there house-sitting for home owners that were up north for the holiday weekend.

Witnesses reportedly told deputies they observed a dark-colored vehicle, possibly a black Ford Focus, drive by the residence around 10:00 p.m. before making a U-turn, coming back towards the house, and then firing several shots.  A witness also believes they observed tinted windows on the car and that there was only one person inside.

Deputies say that no one was struck by any of the bullets.

After searching the area, Deputies found two bullet holes in the garage door of the residence but were not able to find any shell casings in the area.

Deputies and detectives are continuing their investigation into the matter and anyone who has information is asked to please call the Macomb County Sheriff’s Detective Bureau at (586) 307-9358.
