WALKER – Federal authorities say an alert FOX17 viewer supplied a tip on Tuesday that helped lead to the arrest of a parole absconder featured on West Michigan’s Most Wanted.
A concerned citizen spotted what appeared to be a suspicious person at an apartment complex near the intersection of Alpine and 4 Mile Road in Walker.
After a closer look, the citizen recognized the individual as 60-year-old Roosevelt Nard, who was featured on West Michigan’s Most Wanted last Saturday.
The viewer contacted the Walker Police Department and uniformed officers responded to the area and were able to arrest Nard a short time later without incident.
Nard is currently being held in the Kent County Jail on the parole warrant.
Nard was wanted for more than a year for violating his parole after serving time for Home Invasion and Operating Under the Influence of Liquor.
