PORTAGE, Mich. — A 22-year-old man is being treated for injuries related to an overnight stabbing in a Portage trailer park, police tell us.
Officers from Portage Police Department were called to a residence on Wyndham in Chateau Trailer Park around 3:32 a.m. Saturday on a report that shots had been fired and someone possibly being stabbed. Police say a group of people at that residence left before their arrival, ending up in a driveway on Yarmouth. Here, police say a physical confrontation took place, during which the victim was stabbed.
The victim was reportedly transported to a nearby hospital by friends and is recovering in stable condition.
Detectives are still working on interviewing witnesses and say no arrests have been made at this time.
