THORNAPPLE TOWNSHIP, Mich.–Deputies are investigating a three-vehicle crash that killed a 5-year-old boy Saturday afternoon.
Authorities got the call for a multi-vehicle crash with injuries around 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of Cherry Valley Rd. and Green Lake Rd. The Barry County Sheriff’s Office said a preliminary investigation shows that a truck traveling northbound on Cherry Valley Rd. collided with a westbound car, before hitting a second vehicle.
They said a 5-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene, and two people were air-lifted to local hospitals. One other person was taken to a local hospital by ambulance, and three others apparently didn’t require any assistance from rescuers.
The names of the victims are being withheld at this time, and deputies state the crash remains under investigation.
