HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One person will likely face drug charges following a crash on Wednesday. It happened just after 1:00 p.m. on Ottogan Street near Diamond Avenue in Holland Township.
The driver lost control and hit a utility pole, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department said.
Witnesses reported erratic driving just prior to the crash. One person even had to take swift action to avoid a collision with the driver.
Police said the 45-year-old Lansing resident was not hurt in the crash but was taken to the hospital for a possible heroin overdose.
The driver is expected to be charged with driving under the influence of heroin and possession of heroin, police added.
