GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Members of the East Hills Council of Neighbors and Brewery Vivant are getting a head start on spring cleaning.
They teamed up to put on dual events Saturday morning in Grand Rapids. The neighborhood council facilitated a trash drop off at Congress Elementary school with dumpsters provided by the city of Grand Rapids.
Following that, mug club members at Brewery Vivant took to the streets to pick up trash left behind. Many volunteers explained that everyday is a new chance to help clean up the neighborhood and it's simply by picking trash up and throwing it away.
