GRAND RAPIDS - Officers with the Grand Rapids Police Department arrested a fugitive wanted for more than a year on sex offender registration and probation violations last week.
Federal authorities say 29-year-old Terrell Heath sped away from an attempted traffic stop on April 8, escaping authorities after making several dangerous evasive maneuvers in the vehicle he was driving.
Officers were able to find Heath the following day, April 9, where he was caught hiding under a bed at an associate's home while officers were conducting a follow-up investigation on the case.
Heath was arrested and lodged in the Kent County Jail on two outstanding felony warrants for failure to maintain his sex offender registration and a probation violation.
Heath is also charged with felony fleeing and eluding and driving with a suspended license following the incident on April 8.
He's currently serving a sentence for his probation violation, and awaiting trial on the sex offender registry violation and the other new charges.
