ISABELLA COUNTY, Mich — Michigan State Police troopers with the Mt. Pleasant post say a man is facing several charges following a shooting investigation early Friday morning.
Around 12:30 a.m. on April 10, troopers were dispatched to the area of Whiteville and Blanchard Roads in Lincoln Township on reports of shots fired and a street sign being stolen from the area.
The response led to a traffic stop in Union Township of a vehicle that matched a description given to police following the initial dispatch. The vehicle was stopped for multiple moving violations according to a media release.
Three occupants were in the vehicle, along with a street sign that was stolen that had been shot, a handgun, and three long guns.
Dylan Kaleyta, 24, of Carson City was arrested and lodged at the Isabella County Jail following the traffic stop, later arraigned on charges of operating white intoxicated, careless discharge of a firearm, malicious destruction of property, and carrying a concealed weapon while intoxicated.
