imageMUSKEGON, Mich. – A possible microburst destroyed a storage building owned by the L.C Walker Arena at the intersection of 4th Street and Shoreline Drive.

The roof was completely blown off sending scrap metal, support beams, and dangerous debris flying across the intersection.

The strong winds also knocked over a traffic light, leaving the intersection without power.

Parts of Shoreline Drive and 4th Street will remain closed due to unpredictable winds. Muskegon Police expect Shoreline Drive should re-open at 1 p.m. Friday afternoon. 4th Street will remain closed until further notice.

There’s no work yet if the National Weather Service will send a team to assess the damage to determine exactly what caused all this.
