GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Jalin Smith-Walker was arraigned Thursday afternoon after officials say she ran another woman over with her car during a fight on Grand Rapids’ southeast side.

Smith-Walker, 19, was charged Thursday with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder.   Her Monday fight with 19-year-old Sierra Washington in the area of Prospect Avenue SE and Garden Street was captured on cell phone video.

She was also charged with second-degree retail fraud between $200 and $1,000 for a separate incident at Young’s Beauty Supply, 655 28th St.

Her bond was set at $50,000.  Officials requested a high bond for Smith-Walker because of a different retail fraud incident in Muskegon County last December where she allegedly fled in her vehicle and dragged a security guard several feet.

She was also ordered to have no contact with Washington as part of her bond.

Smith-Walker’s next court date is a probable cause conference scheduled April 20 at 9:15 a.m.
