GRANDVILLE, Mich. — Shawn Jarrett was sentenced to life in prison Wednesday for raping an elderly woman in Grandville last summer.
Jarrett was found guiltyof first-degree criminal sexual conduct and home invasion in February. He broke into an 85-year-old woman’s home in June 2014 and sexually assaulted her.
The convicted killer is also facing charges out of Walker for the murder of Yolanda Reyes. He and Reyes worked together at Neal Mast and Sons Greenhouse. She was found dead at a Walker construction site in May 2014.
Jarrett previously spent 30 years behind bars in Pennsylvania for murder.
