ALPINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The Kent County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a woman who they say broke into an Alpine Township grocery store and stole money and lottery tickets.

Officials say the woman broke into Plumb’s, 1025 4 Mile Rd. NW, on the night of March 4.   The same night, she allegedly attempted to cash a stolen lottery ticket at a gas station on Michigan Street NE.

Deputies say the person of interest in surveillance photos is a black woman who was wearing a heavy tan jacket with fur around the edge of the hood, light-colored jeans, dark shoes and a black hat.

Anyone with information on this break-in is asked to call the Kent County Sheriff’s Department at 616-632-6357 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
