Stolen trucks, meth and marijuana found during traffic crash investigation

NEWBURG TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Police found a residence packed with illegal property Friday after approaching a man involved in a traffic crash.

Deputies were originally dispatched to a residence in the 10000 block of Bald Hill St. to speak with the homeowner in regards to a crash they believed he was involved in and later fled.

The homeowner admitted he was indeed involved in the crash in question.

Through further investigation, police found the man had two outstanding warrants as well as two stolen trucks on his property.  Methamphetamine and Marijuana were also found inside the home.

A 49-year-old male and a 26-year-old female were arrested.

Protective Services assisted in removing children who were present in the home at the time.

The incident remains under investigation.
