Finding a Forever Home for DeAirs

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- As FOX 17 continues helping foster children in West Michigan find loving families, we’re introducing you to DeAirs.
He’s full of energy and up for any task, game or conversation.

The 7-year-old has been in the foster system since he was just 4 years old and is hoping to finally find loving parents. He’s spent nearly half his short life without parents to call his own.

“I like to play outside and I like to play with my cat all day,” DeAirs says.

He doesn’t let anything slow him down, lighting up every room with excitement and an infectious smile.

“I’m a good artist,” DeAirs says. “I draw myself.”

He wants to do simple things with a family, like having dinner together every night. “We’d have scalloped potatoes and ham,” DeAirs says.

He would love a mom to tuck him in, read him a bedtime story, and teach him things like listening and how to behave. “Doing the right thing,” DeAirs says.

He would love older siblings to spend time with, to play around, and to have snowball fights with.
