Family of ‘Bossier Doe’ Carol Ann Cole raising money for funeral

KALAMAZOO, Mich. –The family of a woman whose body was found 30 years after she went missing is now using a GoFundMe page to raise money for a long-delayed funeral.

Last week officials determined the body of a woman found in Louisiana in the ’80s was Carol Ann Cole of Kalamazoo, whowent missing more than 30 years ago.

The unidentified remains came to be known as Bossier Doe, after her body was found in a wooded area in Bossier Parish, La.

Cole’s family, who was able to identify her after investigators created a Facebook page for Bossier Doe, is now working to raise money to transport her remains back to Michigan and plan a funeral.
