SCHOOLCRAFT, Mich. — The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s department responded to reports of an explosion and fire at the J. Rettenmaier plant just off of US-131.
Multiple agencies were responding to the plant Saturday afternoon- the original call coming in just after 12 p.m.- with crews still on scene at 4:45 p.m. later in the day.
The Sheriff’s department says nobody was injured in the incident. Damages to the property are unknown at this time.
