ANTWERP TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 31-year-old woman from Chicago was arrested during a traffic stop early Saturday morning.

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office said it happened shortly before 1 a.m. along I-94 east of M-40.

Deputies said they noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. There were four additional people in the vehicle and an open bottle of gin was discovered.

Deputies said they also found several small packages of marijuana, lighted adult pacifiers, lighted tambourines and glow sticks.  The people in the vehicle said they were traveling to Detroit to attend a “rave” party planned for that night.

Other items were found that are commonly used when under the influence of illegal hallucinogens, deputies added.

Deputies arrested the woman for possession of marijuana and took her to the Van Buren County Jail.
