1 hurt in stabbing south of Fuller Park in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich – A search is underway for a suspect Grand Rapids police believe stabbed a man on the city’s northeast side Wednesday evening.

Officers were called to the area of Benjamin Avenue just north of Fountain Street around 9:45 p.m., locating a male victim suffering from a stab wound to the lower abdomen.

Police say the victim is expected to survive his injuries.

Police say the suspected attacker involved is believed to be a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, possibly driving a red or orange Ford Focus.
