SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. — A stolen camper trailer from South Haven has now been found.
On Monday, the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from a citizen regarding neighbors in the 59000 block of 26th Avenue who had acquired a camper trailer. The citizen thought it could have been the same camper that had been reported stolen in news reports. After receiving the tip, deputies arrived at the scene and found the stolen camper tightly wrapped under a large tarp.
The deputies gathered information from the property owner and how the camper was obtained. The camper then was removed from the scene and the owner was notified of the trailer being found.
No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation by the Michigan State Police Southwest Commercial Auto Recovery Unit.
