MUSKEGON, Mich. — A 28-year-old Muskegon man has died after being struck by a vehicle Saturday.

According to Muskegon Police, Rory Deshawn Robinson passed away Tuesday.   Police were called to the intersection of Apple Avenue and Stevens Street shortly after 11 p.m. and found Robinson in the road.   They said he was hit by a vehicle and then run over by a second vehicle.

The driver of the second vehicle stopped and called police.  Police are searching for the first driver who struck Robinson and then fled the scene.

According to a release, police discovered evidence at the scene that indicate the person was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban or truck made between the years 1994 and 2000.   The vehicle will likely have damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle.

Investigators released a photo of the front of the type of vehicle they are attempting to locate.  The color of the vehicle in the photo is not necessarily the same as the one that struck and killed Robinson, police said.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Muskegon Police at 231-724-6750 or Silent Observer at 231-722-7463.
