GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Police responded to a home on the 1200 block of Courtney St. NW Sunday evening after a man fired a gun from the home, according to investigators.
The incident happened around 6:15 p.m. Investigators say one shot from a .22 rife was fired from inside the home. Both the gun and one shell casing were recovered from the scene.
A perimeter was set up in the area by 6:30 p.m. Sunday, with police preparing to try and talk the individuals out of the home.
One suspect, a 20-year-old man, was taken into custody in connection with the incident at 6:55 p.m. Sunday. His name is not being released at this time.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
Police entered the home around 8 p.m. but did not find anyone else inside.
The incident remains under investigation.
