KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich.--As of Saturday morning, 50 vehicles were still unmoved from I-94 following Friday's deadly pile-up along the highway.

The stretch of road remained closed in both directions as crews worked to clean up the wreckage.

Michigan State Police said the Haz-Mat team continued to move hazardous materials from a wrecked tanker before hauling away the other vehicles. The process could take up to two hours, and the highway may not open for several more until everything was removed.

According to state police, several tractor trailers were tangled, slowing clean-up efforts even more.

One death and at least 20 injuries have been reported in the 193-vehicle pile-up.

FOX 17 continues to have a crew at the scene, and will update this story as new information becomes available.
