PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A mother and five children all made it out safely after a mobile home fire in Plainfield Township early Wednesday morning.
This happened at around 1:30 a.m. at a mobile home on Bonita Court. We’re told the fire started around the furnace, and it set the smoke alarm off.
The mother inside at the time woke up, and was able to get the five children out safely. Unfortunately, a dog and cat did not make it out alive.
The American Red Cross is helping the family out while they stay with relatives.
