BATTLE CREEK, Mich.–One man is recovering after a shooting Tuesday morning. But police say he’s the one facing charges.
It all happened last night around 9 PM, when Battle Creek Police Department responded to a call of shots fired at an apartment on Stringham Road. Once they arrived, they found a 33-year-old woman who said her estranged husband tried to shoot her. Officers found several shell casings, suggesting that two guns were actually fired instead of one.
Police found the 29-year-old suspect on Oaklawn Ave. with a gunshot wound to the chest. They’re still looking for a third person who’s also involved. The suspect who was shot is in stable condition, but will face attempted homicide charges.
Police are still investigating, and encourage anyone with information to call them at 269-966-3305.
