MONTCALM Co. Mich. – A semi truck driver crashed and was pinned into his vehicle Saturday morning. Responders made contact with the driver around 5:30 AM, and found the icy highway littered with water bottles- the cargo of the semi truck apparently spilling out onto the road after impact.
Although the driver was pinned into his cab after the initial impact, he was quickly removed by responders within a half hour of being on scene. The driver was reported to sustain no injuries, and the highway- which troopers on scene are calling “a sheet of ice”- is being cleared of all debris as of 6:00am Saturday.
The Montcalm Co. Sheriff’s Department is handling the incident.
