ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The University of Michigan dismissed senior defensive end Frank Clark from the football team on Monday.
“Frank Clark has been dismissed for violating team rules from the Michigan football program,” head coach Brady Hoke wrote in an official press release. “This is a tragic situation. Our student-athletes will be held accountable when their actions fail to meet the standard we have at Michigan. There is a legal process that will occur and we respect that process.”
Clark was arrested on Saturday in Sandusky, Ohio and charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic violence and one count assault from an alleged altercation with his live-in girlfriend inside a Maui Sands hotel room.
Clark had 42 tackles (13.5 for loss) and 4.5 sacks in ten games this season.
