Driver airlifted to hospital after crash

GENEVA TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police and medical crews were dispatched to the 2000 block of County Road 687 where a Toyota pick-up truck lost control traveling north bound under icy road conditions and slid into the path of an F-350 pick-up truck with a snow plow traveling southbound.

The driver of the Toyota pick-up truck suffered visible head injuries and was transported to the South Haven Hospital for treatment. The victim was later transported by helicopter to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. The driver of the F-350 did not suffer any injuries.

The status of the injured driver is unknown at this time.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
