Video: Aylor Twins lead Whitehall

Posted

WHITEHALL, Mich-- IF YOU WATCH WHITEHALL PLAY FOOTBALL, CHANCES ARE YOU WILL SEE THE AYLOR TWINS CONNECT FOR A BIG PLAY OR TWO.  QUARTERBACK ZARREN TO WIDE RECEIVER KEENAN, YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THEIR SPECIAL CONNECTION GIVEN THEY HAVE BEEN TOGETHER SINCE BEFORE THEY WERE BORN.

“We played a lot of sports all the time, every chance we get we’d be playing sports outside with friends and each other and we just really got this connection, especially in football with the passing, we feel like we connected and we know when he is going to be open and how to throw it to him, it clicks” Zarren Aylor said.

“We used to playoff in our front yard scenarios where we are in the playoffs and we were playing a big team like Oakridge and we would go 4th down and he’d pretend he was quarterback and I’d be receiver and he’d just throw it up to me and I’d catch it and then we would celebrate ” Keenan Aylor said.

BUT IN THOSE FRONT YARD GAMES, THE AYLOR’S WERE NOT WEARING WHITEHALL UNIFORMS.

“I never thought I would be playing at Whitehall, so it’s a pretty big change.” Keenan Aylor said.

THE TWINS GREW UP ACROSS WHITE LAKE IN MONTAGUE, IN FACT THEY BEGAN THEIR HIGH SCHOOL CAREERS WITH THE WILDCATS HELPING MONTAGUE TO AN 8-AND-TWO SEASON AND A 2ND PLACE FINISH IN THE WEST MICHIGAN CONFERENCE AS FRESHMAN ON THE VARSITY.  BUT THINGS WEREN’T RIGHT, IT WASN’T WORKING OUT AT MONTAGUE. THE TWINS NEEDED A CHANGE.

"Monty is a real good school and we just felt like we didn't fit in there well so we wanted to come to Whitehall and we just needed something new.”

THE AYLOR’S ARRIVED AT WHITEHALL THE SAME TIME AS CURRENT HEAD COACH TONY SIGMON.

"They have been huge since they got here, they've really done a nice job fitting in with the rest of the guys and I think that Keenan definitely brings some big play ability at the receiver and slot positions and  an excellent defensive player.  Zarren has done a remarkable job at quarterback and has really come into his own skin and doing an excellent job with that" Tony Sigmon said.

THE AYLOR’S WILL LEAD THE VIKINGS AGAINST SOUTH CHRISTIAN FRIDAY NIGHT.
