BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - A former Christian radio host will serve at least 25 years behind bars after being sentenced for having sexual contact with a child.

John Balyo will also register as a sex offender.

The former WCSG radio host was arrested in June after being tied to a larger human trafficking investigation being conducted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

After his arrest, Balyo admitted to having oral sex with a young boy in a Battle Creek hotel.

The day after his arrest and admission, Balyo was fired by Cornerstone University. He was also relieved of his volunteer dutieswith the Kent County Sheriff's Department traffic squad.

During the investigation, police found a storage unit with what they described as a bondage kit.

Balyo is scheduled to appear in federal court in December for sentencing on child pornography charges.
