PORTAGE, Mich. — A 10-year-old girl was killed Friday in a crash in Portage.
According to a release from Portage Public Safety, the two-vehicle crash was reported at about 5:56 p.m. at the intersection of Portage Road and Lakeview Drive.
Police say a 24-year-old Portage resident turned their vehicle off of Lakeview into the path of a Ford Escort driven by a 37-year-old from Vicksburg.
A 10-year-old front seat passenger in the Escort was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later died, according to a release.
No other injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation.
