MUSKEGON, Mich — All the marbles in the OK Black conference are on the line as Mona Shores (7-1) visits Hackley Stadium to take on Muskegon (8-0). Both schools enter perfect in conference play, meaning the winner will be outright conference champion. It’s the 3rd straight season the Big Reds have been part of such a match-up in week nine. Two years ago, Muskegon lost to Zeeland East and last season beat Reeths-Puffer. Mona Shores is looking for it’s first conference title since 1968 when the Sailors won the Valley Coast conference. Mona Shores and Muskegon is our game of the week.

Our Blitz Battle is a rivalry game with big time playoff implications. Hudsonville (5-3) needs a win to secure a 2nd consecutive postseason berth, Grandville (4-4) is just hoping to have a chance by posting a 3rd straight win. The Eagles are coming off a 45-0 win over West Ottawa last Friday, while the Bulldogs have combined to scored 107 points in wins over West Ottawa and Grand Haven.

Grand Rapids Christian (5-3) has made 4 consecutive trips to the playoffs, but the Eagles need a win at home against red-hot Caledonia (6-2) to guarantee a spot in the 256-team field. The Fighting Scots have won 4 straight games including easy wins over some of the states top programs, Rockford, East Grand Rapids and Lowell. Bret Bakita will have reaction and analysis on a special late edition of the Blitz after baseball. Approximate start time is 12:15 A.M. other games you can see then include:
