Man arrives at the hospital two hours after being shot

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- A man is recovering after being shot in the leg Friday evening.

According to the Grand Rapids Police Department, officers were called to Spectrum Blodgett Hospital around 9 p.m. Friday night on a man with a gun shot wound to his leg.

The victim, a 51-year-old man told officers he was shot while he was sitting in his car around 7 p.m. Friday night near the intersection of 42nd Street and Kalamazoo Ave. SE.

The victim is cooperating with officers.

Officers say his injuries are non-life threatening.
