DETROIT, Mich. — A child was killed and four other people were wounded Thursday after a shooting on Detroit’s east side.
According to WJBK, Police Chief James Craig said gang members are believed to have opened fire in the area of Hayes and Mogul north of Outer Drive.
Six suspects, four women and two men, are believed to be involved in the shooting. WJBK reports that a man and a woman have been arrested.
Investigators tell WJBK that they believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute at Denby High School.
The girl who was killed is believed to be between 2 and 3 years old.
