CROCKERY TOWNSHIP, Mich.- One man is recovering at a Muskegon hospital after a rollover crash overnight on I-96.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened around 12:20 a.m. Sunday morning on I-96 eastbound near mile marker 10. Deputies state that 54-year-old Marshall Harris of Grand Rapids lost control of vehicle trying to make the curve. Mr. Harris then over corrected, causing his vehicle to slide across the highway. The vehicle then rolled over and went airborne striking the cable barrier in the median before breaking into three pieces.
Deputies state that Mr. Harris sustained head, neck and internal injuries and was transported to Hackley Hospital in Muskegon for treatment.
Mr. Harris was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
