REED CITY, Mich.– One man is in custody after several reports of a wrong way driver on US-131 Friday night.
Osceola County Deputies and Mt. Pleasant State Troopers say they got several calls of a wrong way driver at around 9 PM Friday night. They were able to safely locate and stop the driver near 8 Mile Road.
Once stopped, deputies and troopers noticed there was significant damage to the car. After investigation, they found that the driver was a suspect involved in a crash at US-10 and US-131.
The driver failed to turn onto the entrance ramp for US-131, instead taking the exit ramp, striking two signs including a Wrong Way sign.
The 68 year old suspect was arrested and charged for Operating While Intoxicated.
