CROCKERY TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Five people were injured Friday after a one-car rollover crash on westbound I-96 at 112th Avenue.
The crash happened at about 6:40 p.m. when the driver of the car swerved to avoid hitting a blue van that abruptly changed lanes, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.
Officials say the driver overcorrected when bringing her car back onto the highway and rolled over in the median.
All five of the teenagers in the vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries. The left lane of westbound I-96 was closed for roughly 45 minutes while crews were at the crash.
Officials say the blue van did not stop.
