Search for man who broke into home, sexually assaulted woman

COLDWATER, Mich. – The search is on for the man who police broke into a Coldwater home and sexually assaulted a woman last week.

The following is a news release sent by the Coldwater Police Department:

On 9/11/2014, an unknown male made entry into an occupied residence in the area of West Clarke Avenue and Fairfield Drive in the City of Coldwater. Once inside, it is reported that the intruder sexually assaulted a lone female resident. The male subject left the residence on foot.

A composite sketch was completed with the help of the victim. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6ft. 3 inches and weighing approximately 230 pounds. The suspect was wearing a dark, knitted winter cap, light blue jeans and a tan Carhart style jacket. The suspect was also wearing tan work boots. The suspect had a dark colored beard mixed with grey hair and is estimated to be 40 to 50 years of age.
