Pedestrian struck by a car in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, Mich.- A pedestrian is in the hospital after being struck by a car early Saturday morning.

According to the Battle Creek Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of southbound M-66 and Columbia Ave around 3:10 a.m. Saturday morning. Officers state that a car was traveling southbound on M-66 when a pedestrian ran in front of the car.

The pedestrian suffered significant injuries and was transported to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.

Alcohol nor speed are factors in this accident, according to BCPD.

This accident remains under investigation.
