GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Stan Van Gundy and Otis Smith are reuniting with the Pistons - and Detroit's D-League team is getting a former NBA executive on their bench.
Smith, 50, was introduced Wednesday afternoon as the first head coach in Grand Rapids Drive history. He spent six seasons (2006-2012) as the general manager of the Orlando Magic - the last five of which featured Van Gundy as his head coach.
