GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids public schools hosted their annual “Back to school kick off” celebration yesterday at the new City High Middle School. Schools, clubs, groups and more attended the bash all preparing for the first day of the school year.
One new group, the West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology buses high school students from any of the GRPS’s to their after school program. They work on projects from artistic design to computer based technology.
At the party they had a “design your own race car” and the students even allowed me to hop inside and go for a spin.
