KALAMAZOO, Mich. — One man was found lying on the sidewalk with stab wounds while another arrived at a nearby hospital with his own wounds a short time later, and now police are investigating what happened and why.
Kalamazoo police responded to reports of an assault near the 800 block of N. Park St. around 11:30 Saturday. When they arrived on scene they found a 24-year-old man on the ground who had been stabbed in the shoulder. Police say he is expected to be OK.
Minutes later a 25-year-old man who had been stabbed in the head and upper body arrived at Bronson Hospital. He is currently in critical condition.
Witnesses at the scene told police there was a fight between several people involving "blunt objects and a chain."
Police do not have any suspects yet as they continue their investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Kalamazoo police or Silent Observer at 343-2100.
